I’ve recently been asked quite a variety of questions and I thought some of you might find them interesting. So by seeing what people are asking, and what I tell them gives you a little inside to me the person beyond my book. Considering I’m obsessed with it! Here it goes!
Q: Name 5 words best describe you from someone who personally knows you.
A: LOL was that even an actual question? Wait, I think we are doing this backwards.
Ah well, I suppose it depends on WHO you ask, but over all, I think all would agree who really know me personally. 1. Funny! Like not ha-ha but rolling around on the floor, holding your jaw because it hurts from laughing so much funny. (Sorry that was more than 5 words wasn’t it?)
2. Dramatic/expressive/emotional. Oh Lordy! I suppose it helps to coincide with the funny part but, what can I say? At least it’s honest!
3. Talkative, yes. Definitely talkative. I think the average woman says something like 15,000 words a day. With that in mind, men probably say an average of 12. Just kidding 🙂 but me on the other hand can EASILY push over 50,000 words a day.
How do I know? Because when I began writing this trilogy, I wrote 56,000 words within a 30 hour straight time period! Sad yet impressive if you ask me. See, the Q was for 5 words and I bet I’m over 500 already!
4. People watcher. I love to sit back somewhere, anywhere and watch people go about their lives. It’s truly amazing to see how people behave when they don’t realize someone is watching them. Fascinating really.
5. People pleaser. For me, pleasing others gives me a joy that I cannot describe. It warms my heart that something I do or say helps someone. To witness that in person gives me such happiness. It’s really addicting. And it’s almost as bad as a fault.
I love to see someone open a gift they never expected or thought someone would remember something from 25 years past when I give them something they have dreamed for, it’s priceless and so rewarding. Besides, it’s easier to give than receive. I’m so bad at receiving! Gifts, kind words, compliments, anything! So consider yourself warned!
Q: If you could be granted one super power what would it be?
A: Invisible! Without a doubt!
Q: can you name 5 things you enjoy doing besides writing?
A: 1. Traveling! 2. Visiting Wineries 3. Swimming/water in general. I might have been a fish in a past life. 4. Making people laugh, which probably should be the first one! 5. Read
Q: What are 3 things you can’t live without?
A: a Chocolate, tweezers and Vodka! My bestie/ who happens to be my Aunt, Godmother and biggest fan is named my “tweezer” if I’m hospitalized and can’t move or talk. I’m Italian! What can I say! If I went without a tweezer after awhile I would look like mystery ape in the woods people on reality shows look for. Sasquatch or something!
Q: what is your 1 year goal and your 5 year goal?
A: 1 year goal is to be on the New York a Best Seller list. I’m not even joking!
And my 5 year goal is to be California filming my trilogy, Scars of Julia & Secrets of Jake.
🙂 it’s gonna happen! You watch!!
Q: Favorite food?
Q: Favorite color?
Q: If money was no object where would you live?
A: Fiji! I love beaches and palm trees. Once when I went to Florida on a road trip, the first palm tree I seen I jumped out of almost a moving car and hugged it! The ocean speaks to me. Second London. Just so I can pick up the accent! I freakin love Brit language in romance novels!! Ugh! LOVE IT!
Q: Do you have any rituals you do before you write or to get into the writing mode?
A: Music is a MUST! I usually read a book that will get my mood in the right place. If I’m writing a dark part of the book, I will generally read something from a dark book. If I’m writing a funny part, I read a funny book. Variations of how long I will read varies. I don’t have a set time. I generally write, read, research or all three every single day. Which ever comes first or last depends on my mood.
A: I have two actually. “It takes a lot of money to look this trashy.” Dolly Parton
And “Inside of me there is a skinny girl. Usually I can shut the bitch up with chocolate!” Unknown except possibly Maxxine.
Q: Any advice for the writer just starting?
A: Follow your heart! Keep going until you are not just satisfied but have fulfilled a dream or wish you had from the start. It doesn’t matter where that goal ends. Whether it’s to be published or self published. If you want to make a dollar or ten million from the sales. It doesn’t matter. All that matters is that YOU do it for YOU! No matter what anyone tells you or says behind your back! Your opinion of you is what matters! Everyone else can go suck on an egg! *wink*
